1 This letter was written on Heinrich Schenker's birthday, thus the photograph and graveside visit are tributes to his memory, although she does not mention the occasion. The absence of postmark or postage stamps suggests that it was delivered by hand. As Jeanette's annotation on the envelope tells us, she replied on June 21.

2 Schenker's grave is in the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna.

3 Jeanette was going to the Kurhaus Dr. Loebel in Hof Gastein, where she would remain until at least early August 1935. She would never return to the Keilgasse.
