Footnotes1 Schenker’s diary for March 27, 1933 records: “Seligmann (K.): kommt Mittwoch.” (“Seligmann (postcard): he will come on Wednesday.”), resulting in a visit recorded in the diary for March 29: “Seligmann von 5–½8h: ‘. . das muß man organisieren’! Also auch noch das sollte ich den Wienern draufgeben! Außer den Bänden noch Gesundheit, Geld u. Ehre, Propaganda im Ausland! Ich zeige ihm allerlei u. spiele Schubert. Es wird noch Quartett gespielt!” (“Seligmann from 5 to 7:30: "… that is something one has to organize"! So, even that I must sacrifice to the Viennese!
