Footnotes1 Writing of this postcard is not recorded in Schenker's diary. 2 From Reigersberg Castle, Ilz, in Styria, where the Schenkers had been since c. June 20. Schenker wrote again to Violin (postcard not surviving) on September 8: “An Floriz (K.): kommen am 12., bitte zunächst ihn, dann alle!” (“To Floriz (postcard): we are returning on the 12th, I shall get in touch with him first, then everyone else!”). The Schenkers arrived in Vienna on the afternoon of September 12. |
