Footnotes1 "Das Photogrammarchiv in der Nationalbibliothek," Neue Freie Presse, February 15, 1936, Abendblatt, p. 3, is a report of this event, with a list of some of those attending (including Wilhelm Furtwängler, who was the last of the speakers). In describing the extension, it refers to the "new rooms ..., fireproof cabinets, [and] special American photographic equipment." It describes the current holdings of the Archive as including "around 3,000 masterworks with a total of over 60,000 leaves." Other reports appeared in Die Stunde, the Neues Wiener Journal, and Der Wiener Tag. Clippings of these and one other unidentified are preserved in OJ 9/10. |
