1 Schenker was working on two articles for the Deutsche Zeitschrift. The "second" of these was "Vom Unterschied zwischen der italienischen und der deutschen Musik," published in vol. 47 in August 1934 (pp. 700–3). Schenker had been working on the other, on Joseph Haydn, but never completed it; file 49 in the Oster Collection contains extensive materials for it.
