Park in the 3rd district of Vienna (Landstraße), near the Südbahnhof [Southern Railway Station] and the Vienna Arsenal, a few minutes' walk south from Schenker's apartment at Keilgasse 8. After the end of World War I and following the generous charity drives of the Swiss for the population of Vienna, the park was renamed the Schweizer Garten [Swiss Garden].

Two days after the diagnosis of his diabetes on April 6, 1914, Schenker's first treatment took place in the Maria-Josepha-Park (OJ 1/14, p. 550).
