Footnotes1 Probably Willy Elmayer-Vestenbrugg (1885‒1966), who founded a dance school in Vienna in 1919, and from 1935 arranged some of the major Vienna society balls. He taught ballroom dancing at the Akademie 1934‒37. What his role was in 1927 is unclear. — "Ob. R.R." = "Oberregierungsrat". 2 This sum is reported to Schenker in UMdK Z 767 D/1927, [2], January 11, 1927, as "430 S," but by the time Schenker receives it on January 19 has shrunk to "327.51 Sch" (diary OJ 3/9, p. 3024). |
