Austrian railway company, founded in 1866 as a private company, and nationalized in 1884. At the time of nationalization there were two lines: Vienna to Eger [Cheb], via Tulln, Gmünd, Budweis [České Budějovice], and Pilsen [Plzeň]; and Vienna to Prague, via Gmünd and Tabor.
Its terminus in Vienna was the Franz-Josephs-Bahnhof.
