Prater-Hauptallee

Broad avenue running through the Prater, Vienna. Starting at the Praterstern, at the north west end, it extends to the Lusthaus, at the south-east. It was formed by clearing a swamp forest, which was undertaken by Ferdinand II in 1538 ("Langer Gang").
