Baroque palace complex built by Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663–1736).
Located in the 3rd district of Vienna (Landstraße), the Belvedere comprises the Upper and Lower Belvedere, the Orangerie, the Palace Stables and the Palace Gardens. The architect was Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt (1668–1745), one of the most important architects of the Austrian Baroque, of whom this complex of buildings constitutes his masterwork.
